A new study has been launched to assess the feasibility of developing industrial fish farming in Lake Tanganyika and through land-based systems in Burundi. The project aims to provide evidence-based recommendations to support sustainable aquaculture, improve food security, and contribute to economic development.

We are pleased to announce that our team has been awarded the contract to carry out the pre-feasibility and feasibility study for the development of industrial fish farming in Lake Tanganyika and land-based systems in Burundi. The project, commissioned by EANSI and financed by the AfDB, aims to assess technical, economic, and institutional aspects to support sustainable aquaculture and strengthen food security. Our multidisciplinary team will work closely with local stakeholders to collect data, analyze opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations. We look forward to starting this important assignment and contributing to the future of aquaculture in Burundi.
